Lexus Electrified has Arrived at Lexus of Henderson: The All-New 2023 Lexus RZ 450e

The next chapter of Lexus is finally here, and coming soon to Lexus of Henderson. The all-new 2023 Lexus RZ 450e is the first-ever electrified Lexus. It’s a new way to enjoy Lexus with all the comfort and luxury you’ve come to expect with a few unexpected twists. As the RZ joins the rest of the electrified Lexus lineup of hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles to usher in the future of Lexus.

Functional Style

The RZ exterior is designed for more than just style, although there’s no shortage of that. It features the Lexus spindle body, first introduced with the RX, with a smooth look that lends to the aerodynamic styling of the body. Instead of a grille, the front end displays wrap-around fenders and a grille shutter, lowering the hood and increasing efficiency. The grille opens and closes as needed to cool the motor as needed, boosting efficiency even further. Two grade options are available; the Premium with 18-inch Dark Gray Metallic aluminum wheels and the Luxury with 20-inch Black Machined Finish wheels. Exterior color options include Caviar, Iridium, Cloudburst Gray, Eminent White Pearl, and Ether with a two-tone option available.

Electric Performance

Built on the Lexus e-TNGA steel platform, the new RZ is engineered for balanced weight to promote peak performance. The body’s weight is kept down thanks to the platform’s design of high-tensile steel and aluminum, assisted by the lithium-ion battery placement below the floor. Its 71.4 kWh battery is capable of achieving 308 horsepower with a 196-220 drive range and between 87-98 combined MPGe. Other performance features are based on the RZ, like the DIRECT4 AWD system and MacPherson suspension.

Interior & Tech Features

While the interior may have that familiar Lexus feel, it includes tons of high-tech features that make the drive more exciting and convenient. There’s the Lexus Interface 14-inch touchscreen with an intuitive menu and seamless connectivity. Available features can take it to the next level by upgrading to the Intelligent Assistant, optional Heads-Up Display, and Mark Levinson Surround Sound System. It wouldn’t be a Lexus without advanced safety features, and driver assist technology adds to the security and safety without a second thought. The interior is available in three color combinations: Thunderstorm and Macadamia, Palomino, and Dapple Gray with NuLuxe or Ultrasuede seating material.
