There are three choices in power. The ES 350 offers a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 302 horsepower. The ES 350 comes with a new eight-speed automatic transmission. For a more sustainable choice, there is the ES 300h Hybrid, and a 2.5-liter Atkinson Cycle four-cylinder is matched with the Lexus Hybrid Drive electric motor. The result is an estimated combined fuel consumption average of 44 MPG. 

Unlike many sedans, the 2023 ES offers an all-wheel-drive system designed to manage traction over any weather and surfaces. The ES 250 AWD’s system works to balance traction to the wheels that need it. This results in a maximum 50/50 torque split.

To enhance the driving experience, a drive mode selector knob can switch the ES 350, ES 300h, and ES 250 AWD from Eco to Sport, as well as Sport S+ on the ES 250 F SPORT AWD and ES 350 F SPORT, depending on the kind of driving you’re doing.  An EV mode is available on the ES 300h for driving at low speeds using only battery power.
