The Lexus RX is an icon in the automotive world. Ever since debuting in 1998 as a 1999 model year vehicle, the Lexus RX was the world’s first Luxury Crossover and has since been one of the most celebrated and reliable vehicles on the market. 

First-Ever Plug-In Hybrid

For 2024 Lexus is bringing out their first-ever plug-in hybrid RX: The RX 450h+. The new RX 450h+ features a high-capacity lithium-ion battery along with a 2.5-liter inline-4 engine. The plug-in RX can travel up to 37 miles of pure electric range and will be able to get to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds, in part thanks to its standard All-wheel drive system. 

Charging

Charging the 2024 RX 450h+ will be a breeze with the included Level 1 charging cable for 120V outlets as well as a J1772 Type 1 socket for the ability to easily charge at home or on the go at public charging stations. When using a 240V outlet to charge the Lexus, you will be able to fully charge the battery in around two and a half hours using the standard 6.6 kW onboard charger. 

Available Colors

The Lexus RX 450h+ has 21-inch wheels as standard, and buyers will be able to choose from 8 exterior colors, including Eminent White Pearl, Cloudburst Gray, Iridium, Caviar, Matador Red Mica, Copper Crest, Nori Green Pearl, and Nightfall Mica.

Mark Levinson

A Lexus wouldn’t really be a Lexus without a wonderful sounding Mark Levinson sound system, and the RX 450h+ does not disappoint. The 21-speaker Mark Levinson Premium sound system will be an available option. 

Safety First

Just like every Lexus, safety is standard. Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 includes: Pre-Collision System (PCS) with Pedestrian Detection, Proactive Driving Assist (PDA), Road Sign Assist, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA), Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), Intelligent High Beam, and All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Curve Speed Management (DRCC). 

Release Date

The 2024 Lexus RX 450h+ will be available at dealerships later this year with a starting MSRP of $70,080.
