The First-Ever 2024 Lexus TX

A three-row SUV is one of the most important vehicles to have in a lineup. But more than that, having room behind that third row is becoming a need, not a want, for consumers. With the first-ever TX, Lexus has created a large SUV with presence, prominence, and true usability. 

Lexus has given the TX its own unique styling based on their current design language, allowing it to stand out while also being recognizable as nothing other than a Lexus.

Engine & Trim Choices

The 2024 Lexus TX will be available with three engine choices. It begins with a 2.4-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder producing 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque in the TX350, a hybrid version of that same engine that will output 366 horsepower and 409 lb-ft of torque for the TX500h, and a 3.5-liter V6 plug-in hybrid with a total horsepower of 406 in the range-topping TX550h+. The TX350 comes standard with front-wheel drive but can be optioned with all-wheel drive, while the top-of-the-line models come standard with all-wheel drive. 

You can spec your TX in either Standard, Premium, Luxury, and F Sport Performance trims levels.

Fuel Mileage

Lexus is estimating that the TX350 will achieve 21 mpg combined between city and highway driving, while the 550h will get 24 mpg combined, and the 550h+ will average up to 30 mpg between city and highway. The TX550h+ will also have a dedicated 33 miles of pure electric range. 

Size Where It Counts

When it comes to any sport utility vehicle, the real question is how much space it offers. As a standard three-row vehicle, the TX has 20.1 cu.ft. of cargo space behind the third row, 57.4 cu.ft. with the third row folded, and 97 with all rear rows folded. 

For the TX, Lexus has placed it on the new GA-K platform, which offers a low center of gravity and better weight distribution. These are both obviously very good for a large SUV, especially when speaking about safety and rollover avoidance. With good weight distribution, you can also count on the TX to handle well, even for a vehicle that is 203 inches long. 

The Lexus TX350 and 550h+ are a total of 203.1 inches long, while the 550h is 203.5 inches long, All TXes are 78.3 inches wide, 70.1 inches tall, and have a wheelbase of 116.1 inches. The TX350 rides on standard 20” wheels and 22” wheels are standard on the TX550h and 550h+ and optional on the 350. 

Safety For All

You cannot mention Lexus without talking about its world-class safety features. And the 2024 TX is no different. With Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 standard on all TX models, you will get features that are made to protect every passenger. 

Lexus will offer the following safety features on the TX: pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, all-speed dynamic radar cruise control, lane tracing assist, lane departure alert with steering assist, road sign assist, and protective driving assist. Optional parking assistance features will also be available that will help you parallel park your TX.
