2023 Lexus RZ Makes Its Debut at Electrify Expo

Lexus’ first battery-electric vehicle, the 2023 Lexus RZ 450e, was recently unveiled at one of America’s largest mobility festivals at the Long Beach Convention Center. The 2022 Electrify Expo is an annual event that features the hottest innovations in electric vehicles, motorcycles, and more. Also making its debut was the 2022 Lexus NX 450h+.

The sleek, futuristic design of the 2023 RZ 450e conveys power and performance, in which it introduces enhanced vehicle control with its DIRECT4 all-wheel-drive system, optimal steering control, and uses a battery electric vehicle-specific platform with its lightweight body to achieve optimal weight distribution. The new RZ also offers the latest Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, including Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert, Pre-Collision System, and Emergency Driving Stop System.

Thanks to its newly industrialized high-capacity lithium-ion battery, it now produces an estimated 36-mile range on electric power alone and has an EV output equal to a 2.0-liter engine, getting combined estimated 84 MPGe. In addition to its hybrid advancements, the all-new NX has more passenger and cargo room and an enhanced interface multimedia system, with an available 14-inch touchscreen.

The NX 450h+ and RZ 450e are setting the stage for the future of Lexus’ luxury line, with a focus on finding a happy medium between saving energy, while maintaining optimum performance.  The 2022 NX450h+ are available starting at $55,650.
