Coming Soon: The 2022 Lexus IS 500 F Sport

In 2008, the world woke up to the sound of a performance Lexus. The IS F was born. It would change everything we knew about Lexus. Since then, the letter “F” stood for the ultimate in performance that would further define what a Lexus is all about.

Now, the icon has returned. A compact sports sedan infused with a powerful 472-horsepower V8 engine and the driving dynamics of a track legend. All done with a vehicle designed to never apologize for anything it would serve up anywhere in Southern Nevada.

This fall, we welcome the arrival of the 2022 Lexus IS 500 F Sport. The first of a new generation of F Sport performance models.

The new IS was redesigned for 2021, with an aggressive look and a driver-focused interior. The F Sport offers more for the enthusiast.

Add to the mix a 5.0-liter V8 found in the RC F and LC 500. With 472 horsepower available at your right foot, expect astounding acceleration – 4.5 seconds from 0 to 60 MPH. It will also return an estimated 24 MPG. The hood was reshaped with a raised center dome to accommodate the V8 engine.

The chassis is enhanced to take the Lexus Driving Signature to the next level. Standard on the IS 500 F Sport is the Dynamic Handling Package (DHP), which includes Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) and a Torsen limited-slip differential (LSD), all of which improves handling and performance thanks to enhanced traction when cornering or exiting turns.

Engineers have also improved the IS chassis performance with the addition of a Yamaha rear performance damper. This damper reduces dynamic structural distortion, delivering increased comfort at low speeds, and additional stability and agility at high speeds.

Brake cooling enhancements have also been made over the standard IS 350 F Sport with additional aerodynamic cooling and larger 14.0-inch two-piece aluminum front rotors and 12.7-inch rear rotors. They fit behind a set of 19-inch 10-spoke Enkei alloy wheels.
