At the end of April of 2021, Lexus has now sold two million Hybrid vehicles worldwide. Not just the RX, but across the lineup from the small UX crossover to the luxurious LS flagship sedan.

The most popular Hybrid in the Lexus lineup remains the RX. Since 2005, Lexus has sold 518,000 RX Hybrids worldwide, followed by the ES sedan. The CT 200h had a hand in pushing the brand’s portfolio into a small sporty hatchback with an efficient Hybrid driveline.

Now, there are six Lexus models that offer a Hybrid variant. We already mentioned the RX 450h and ES 300h, which represents the heart of the Lexus Hybrid lineup. Plus, the UX 250h brings the Hybrid down to size. The NX 300h offers its Hybrid in a right-sized package that adds more value to our leading compact SUV. At the top of the scale is the LS 500h flagship sedan and LC 500h coupe, both with the advanced MultiStage system.

If you think about it, two million Lexus Hybrids have collectively made a dent on global pollution. That translates into a cumulative reduction of CO2 emission of approximately 19 million tons.

The future’s looking brighter with the addition of a plug-in hybrid model for Lexus later this year and a new all-electric model in 2022.
